About Bridger

My work as a therapist grounds everything else I do at Beyond Healing, as an owner, as Institute Lead Faculty, and through Think Beyond Healing Media. Sitting with people as they make sense of their lives shapes how I lead, what I teach, and the conversations I want to bring into the world.

In my clinical work, I see people living with the effects of painful experiences, whether from a single event or from patterns that formed over many years. I practice EMDR therapy and bring a body-based understanding into the room, paying attention to how what we’ve lived through shows up in the ways we feel, relate, and respond. I want therapy to be a place where people feel understood and find room to discover what else is possible for them.

That same commitment shapes my work with clinicians. I am a founding theorist of Somatic Integration and Processing (SIP), an academic author, and a trainer of the material we develop at Beyond Healing Institute. As an educator, I help build spaces where therapists can sharpen their skills, question their assumptions, and learn to trust their own clinical judgment.

Through Think Beyond Healing Media, including Notice That, the podcast I co-host with Jen Savage, I carry those conversations past the therapy room and the classroom into thoughtful, research-informed exploration of what it means to be human.

Whatever the role, I care about work that stays curious, makes room for different perspectives, and never loses sight of the people it serves.
