Frequently Asked Questions from the Community

  • Does Beyond Healing Center accept insurance?
    • We do not have the capability of billing directly with insurance providers, however, we do offer documentation called “Superbills” which can be submitted to the insurance company for a reimbursement request. It is up to your provider on whether or not services will be reimbursable and at what percentage.
  • What payment options do you accept?
    • Beyond Healing cannot accept insurance as payment, however, we can accept any form of self-pay including cash, check, card, FHA or other benefits card, as well as CareCredit. If you wish to use your CareCredit account, please let your clinician know as the process will have to run through our admin team. If you wish to sign up for a CareCredit account, please let our office manager know and we can support you in your application. All other payment methods can be added to your payment methods on your client portal during your intake.
  • What are the rates for therapy?
    • The average rate for a 50 minute therapy session is between $75-$100. Some clinicians may have rates slightly higher or lower depending on licensure and potential sliding scale openings.
  • What is the cost of a retreat? Is it covered through insurance?
    • Depending on what services you would like to receive and how long you wish to stay with us, retreats may be priced between -$2,500-$4,000+. Some insurance providers will approve a reimbursement for therapy services, however, we advise submitting a Superbill and speaking with a rep from your insurance company to establish what would be covered on your specific policy. Beyond Healing can provide supportive documentation at request.
  • Does Beyond Healing prescribe medication?
    • While Beyond Healing is committed to a well rounded holistic approach to care, we do not have clinicians who are able to prescribe medication. Medication consultation is available with Josh Holland for clients looking for support and inquiry on medications already prescribed to them. Clients may schedule an appointment with Josh through the website or by calling Beyond Healing directly.
  • I want to complete training with BHI. Can I train online?
    • All training opportunities are offered via online platforms with many also offering the hybrid option to join us in person. Information about these opportunities can be found under the specific training link.
  • I want to attend SIP training in person but am unavailable for a small portion of the training. Can I still attend?
    • We understand that life must go on throughout the multi-day training. We welcome the need to adjust your attendance from online to seated or visa versa. To obtain CEU’s, it is required that you are able to attend all 3 days of SIP and have a camera on if you join us virtually.
  • How do I know if your CEU’s are applicable to my license?
    • CE credits are applicable to many licenses, however, we always suggest contacting your state board regarding any questions you may have about your specific license and the CEUs you’re looking into. BHI is able to provide proper documentation for CE requests made to your board.
  • I completed my training but don’t have a certificate yet. How do I obtain one?
    • Upon completion of the training, certificates will be provided via email. To access your certificate, kindly submit feedback through the post-training survey. One will be sent to you automatically through “Certifyem”.
  • I registered for training but don’t know what to do now.
    • Please find yourself in the Beyond Healing Community. Be sure to use the same email as you used during registration to activate your access into your appropriate group. Information regarding virtual training links, materials and course content, and training day schedule are available in this space. If you missed this step during registration, a direct link to the community page can be found on the website menu under the “For Therapists” tab.
  • I would like to sign up for training but am not sure if there is space available. How do I know when seats are full?
    • Most training is offered in a hybrid format. Because of this, Beyond Healing is able to offer these opportunities to more members at a time. If the registration is listed on the website seats are available.
  • Do I have to be EMDR trained to take the SIP training?
    • No. While Beyond Healing is passionate in both aspects, EMDR is not a requirement to take the SIP training. In fact, SIP can be taken by anybody wishing to learn more about the embodied experience of being human.
  • Does Beyond Healing accept interns looking for placement?
    • Beyond Healing holds a passion for working with students and therapists in training. We have welcomed interns and practicum students when space is available. To inquire, please submit an email with a pdf of your resume for any potential opportunities. BHC is full for internship placements for 2024-2025 school year. Please submit for Summer and Fall 2025.
  • Are there any other opportunities for students?
    • Beyond Healing has been in collaboration with MSU and has established a supportive student professionals group that meets once a month at the BHC downtown location. Students do not have to be enrolled with MSU and can be from other institutions to find support and connection here. These groups work on processing some SIP related themes, graduate school experiences, and finding community in our field. To find more information about this opportunity, reach out to us in the Beyond Healing Community- Mighty Networks in the “SIP Student Chapter” group. A helpful link can be found under the “For Therapists” tab.
