Training Objectives for EMDR Basic Training

Attendance Policy

Full Attendance

  • Participants must attend all scheduled training sessions, including:
    • Live instructional sessions.
    • Practicum exercises.
    • Consultation hours.
  • Attendance is monitored, and participants must be present for the entire duration of each session to meet training requirements.

Virtual Training Requirements

  • Cameras must remain on during virtual sessions to ensure active engagement and compliance with EMDRIA standards.
  • Participants should join sessions from a quiet, distraction-free environment.

Punctuality

  • Arrive or log in on time for all sessions.
  • Late arrivals or early departures exceeding 15 minutes may be considered an absence.

Absence Policy

  1. Planned Absences:
    • Notify us in advance of any conflicts by contacting training@beyondhealingcenter.com.
    • Approval for planned absences will be considered on a case-by-case basis, and makeup work may be required to meet training standards.
  2. Unplanned Absences:
    • In the event of illness or emergencies, notify us immediately via email or phone at (417) 942-7384.
    • Makeup options may be provided at the discretion of the trainer and must align with EMDRIA policies.
  3. Makeup Sessions:
    • Missed sessions must be completed within the training’s 12-month completion timeframe.

Completion Policy

Requirements for Completion

To successfully complete EMDR Basic Training and receive a certificate of completion, participants must:

  1. Attend all required training sessions, including instructional, practicum, and consultation hours.
  2. Actively engage in training activities, including discussions, practicum exercises, and consultation sessions.
  3. Complete all assessments or assignments provided during the training.
  4. Demonstrate competency in applying EMDR therapy concepts and techniques during practicum sessions.

Certificate of Completion

  • Participants who meet all attendance and engagement requirements will receive a Certificate of Completion, confirming that they are EMDR-trained.
  • This certificate allows participants to integrate EMDR therapy into their clinical practice but does not grant EMDRIA certification.

Failure to Complete

  • Participants who do not meet attendance or completion requirements will not receive a certificate.
  • In such cases, participants may need to re-enroll in a future training cohort to fulfill the requirements.

At Beyond Healing Institute, successful completion of our EMDR Basic Training provides participants with the foundational skills and knowledge to integrate EMDR therapy into their clinical practice. Below are important details about certification and next steps following the training:


Completion Requirements

To receive a certificate of completion for EMDR Basic Training, participants must:

  • Attend all instructional sessions, practicum hours, and consultation hours as required by EMDRIA.
  • Actively participate in training activities, including practicum exercises and discussions.
  • Complete any required assessments or assignments.

Participants who meet these requirements will receive a certificate of completion, signifying they are EMDR-trained.


Certification Status

Upon completing EMDR Basic Training:

  • You may refer to yourself as “EMDR-trained.”
  • Completion of the training does not grant EMDRIA certification.
  • You will have the foundational knowledge to use EMDR therapy within your clinical practice.

Becoming EMDRIA Certified

To become EMDRIA Certified in EMDR Therapy, participants must:

  1. Complete the 10 hours of consultation included in Basic Training.
  2. Accrue an additional 20 hours of consultation with an EMDRIA-approved Consultant.
  3. Conduct 50 clinical sessions using EMDR therapy with at least 25 different clients.
  4. Apply for certification through EMDRIA, meeting all requirements for review.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

At Beyond Healing Institute, we understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise that could affect your ability to participate in our EMDR Basic Training. To ensure clarity and transparency, we have established the following cancellation and refund policy:


Cancellation Deadlines and Refunds

  1. Cancellations More Than 30 Days Before Training Start Date:
    • Full refund, minus a $100 administrative processing fee.
  2. Cancellations 15-30 Days Before Training Start Date:
    • Refund of 50% of the training fee, or the option to transfer your registration to a future training cohort at no additional cost.
  3. Cancellations Less Than 15 Days Before Training Start Date:
    • No refunds will be issued, but you may transfer your registration to a future training cohort, subject to availability.
  4. No-Show Policy:
    • Participants who do not attend and fail to notify us prior to the training will forfeit their registration fee.

Transfer Policy

  • Requesting a Transfer:
    • If you cannot attend your registered training, you may request to transfer your registration to a future training cohort.
    • All transfer requests must be made in writing to training@beyondhealingcenter.com at least 72 hours before the training start date.
  • Transfer Fee:
    • A $25 transfer fee may apply for changes made within 15 days of the training start date.

In rare cases, Beyond Healing Institute may need to cancel or reschedule a training due to unforeseen circumstances. In such events:

  • Participants will be notified as soon as possible.
  • Participants will receive the option for a full refund or transfer to a future training cohort without any additional fees.

    • The grievance will be reviewed by our designated Grievance Committee, which may include trainers, administrative staff, or other relevant personnel.

  3. Resolution:
    • A written response outlining the findings and any corrective actions will be provided within 10 business days of the initial acknowledgment.
