Terms of Service

Last updated: September 4, 2025

Welcome to connectbeyondhealing.com (the “Site”), operated by Beyond Healing Center, LLC d/b/a Beyond Healing Institute (“Beyond Healing,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Site and any content, programs, courses, communities, events, coaching/consultation, and related services we provide (collectively, the “Services”).

By accessing or using the Site or Services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy (linked on the Site). If you do not agree, do not use the Site or Services.

1) Who we are / What we do

Beyond Healing provides educational content, professional trainings, workshops, consultations for clinicians and organizations, and access to community spaces. We also provide information about therapy services offered by our clinical team.
We do not provide medical or emergency services through this Site. Educational content is not a substitute for diagnosis, treatment, or therapeutic care.

  • In a crisis: Call 911, go to the nearest emergency room, or dial/text 988 (US) for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.

  • Therapy clients receive separate intake documents and a HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices through our client portal; those terms govern clinical care.

2) Eligibility & Accounts

You must be at least 18 to use the Services. You are responsible for your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Keep your password secure and notify us immediately of unauthorized use.

3) Acceptable Use

You agree not to, and will not assist or enable others to:

  • Violate any law or regulation;

  • Post or transmit content that is unlawful, harassing, defamatory, discriminatory, hateful, pornographic, or that infringes others’ rights;

  • Upload PHI (protected health information) or confidential client details to public areas of the Site or community spaces;

  • Interfere with Site security or integrity, scrape, reverse-engineer, or bypass access controls;

  • Use the Services to send spam, malware, or unsolicited promotions.

We may suspend or terminate access for violations.

4) Educational Content; No Professional Advice

Content on the Site (including podcasts, videos, blogs, and courses) is for educational and informational purposes only and does not create a therapist-client, supervisor-supervisee, or other professional relationship. Always exercise independent clinical judgment and comply with your jurisdiction’s laws and professional codes.

5) Trainings, Events, CE/CME & Certificates

Details for each training, workshop, or event (dates, format, CE eligibility, pricing, refund/cancellation terms, and completion requirements) are posted on the relevant registration page and govern that offering. Some programs may be recorded for participants; your participation may constitute consent to be recorded if disclosed at registration. You are responsible for confirming whether credits meet your licensing board’s requirements.

6) Payment, Subscriptions & Refunds

Payments are processed by trusted third-party processors (e.g., Stripe). By purchasing, you authorize charges to your selected payment method.

  • Subscriptions/auto-renew: If an offering includes recurring billing, it will auto-renew at the stated interval until you cancel in your account or by contacting us before the renewal date.

  • Refunds: Refund/cancellation policies are specified on each product or event page. If none are specified, digital products are generally non-refundable once accessed or downloaded; for live trainings, contact us at therapy@beyondhealingcenter.com to discuss options.

  • Chargebacks: You agree to contact us first to attempt resolution before filing a chargeback.

7) Communications; SMS (A2P 10DLC) & Email

By providing a phone number or email, you may opt in to receive transactional and, if you consent, promotional messages.

  • Text Messaging: Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Use our registered number (417) 943-5797 for SMS.

  • You must obtain necessary consent(s) from any third parties whose contact details you submit to us.

  • We may send service notices (e.g., receipts, schedule changes) even if you opt out of marketing.

See our Privacy Policy for more on how we process your information.

8) Intellectual Property

The Site and all content (texts, graphics, logos, podcasts, videos, curricula, and trademarks) are owned by Beyond Healing or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Site for personal or internal professional purposes.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, adapt, or create derivative works without our written permission, except as allowed by law or specific course licenses.

9) User Content; Testimonials; Community Guidelines

If you post or submit content (e.g., comments, forum posts, reviews, or testimonials), you:

  • Represent that you have the rights to share it and it does not infringe others’ rights;

  • Grant Beyond Healing a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and use it in connection with the Services (and to improve and promote them), subject to the Privacy Policy;

  • Agree not to post PHI or identifying client information without explicit, written authorization.

We may moderate, remove, or restrict content that violates these Terms or community norms.

10) Third-Party Links & Tools

The Site may link to third-party websites, tools, or services (e.g., Zoom, Mighty Networks, Google, Stripe). We are not responsible for those sites or their policies. Your use of third-party services is governed by their terms.

11) Accessibility

We strive to make our content accessible. If you need an accommodation to participate in a program or access content, please contact [email protected] (or use the contact info below) and we will work with you in good faith.

12) Privacy & Security

Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We use reasonable safeguards, but no system is 100% secure. Do not email sensitive information unless we request it through a secure channel.

13) Disclaimers

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BEYOND HEALING DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that outcomes are guaranteed.

14) Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Beyond Healing and our owners, officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim arising from the Services will not exceed the amount you paid to us for the offering giving rise to the claim in the three (3) months preceding the event.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, the limitations apply to the greatest extent permitted by law.

15) Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Beyond Healing from and against any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Services, or your violation of law or third-party rights.

16) Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or pose a risk to the Site or community. You may stop using the Services at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive (e.g., IP, disclaimers, limitations, indemnification, dispute resolution) will survive termination.

17) Changes to the Services or Terms

We may modify the Services or these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will post the update date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email or in-app notice. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised Terms.

18) Governing Law; Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.

Informal resolution. Contact us first at [email protected] so we can try to resolve your concern.

Agreement to Arbitration & Class-Action Waiver. Except for claims that can be brought in small-claims court, any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services will be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. Arbitration will take place in Greene County, Missouri, or by video/teleconference, and the arbitrator may award individual relief only. You and Beyond Healing waive the right to a jury trial and to participate in a class or representative action.

You may opt out of arbitration within 30 days of first accepting these Terms by emailing [email protected] with your full name and a clear statement that you wish to opt out.

19) International Use

We operate from the United States and do not represent that the Services are appropriate or available in other jurisdictions. You are responsible for compliance with local laws.
